We are recruiting for a skilled and dedicated Commercial Electrical Technician to join our team. Essential requirements are an ECS Gold Card and commercial experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems for our clients’ facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your technical expertise in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will work in our Electrical Division, ensuring the smooth operation of our clients’ electrical equipment and systems.

Candidates will need strong mechanical knowledge, experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and proficiency in reading schematics and AutoCAD drawings. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service is essential, along with the ability to be helpful, proactive and an excellent team player.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults using schematics, wiring diagrams, and AutoCAD drawings.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, to minimise downtime.
  • Programme, test, and commission programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for various automation processes.
  • Assist in the design and modification of electrical systems using AutoCAD software.
  • Collaborate with Trail Group team members to resolve complex electrical issues in the most efficient way possible.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications.
  • Ensure stringent compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing client requirements promptly and professionally.

Experience Needed:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or in similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical expertise.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and AutoCAD drawings.
  • Practical experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Prior experience delivering high-quality customer service is advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a commercial electrical role.
  • ECS Gold Card certification.
