About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a year 2 pupil, delivering tailored SEN support including sensory circuits and wellbeing interventions. This role also involves supporting other children with SEND needs across the school, making a significant difference to their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide focused 1:1 support to a year 2 pupil with specific SEN needs
  • Deliver sensory circuits and wellbeing interventions to promote pupil engagement and progress
  • Support other children with SEND throughout the school as required
  • Collaborate closely with teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Help create an inclusive, positive learning environment that fosters children's confidence and independence
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and communicate effectively with the SENDCo and wider team

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Knowledge of SEN interventions such as sensory circuits and wellbeing strategies
  • Ability to work effectively in a 1:1 setting and small groups
  • Understanding of how to support children’s social, emotional, and educational development
