Location - Trafford Town Hall, Talbot Road, Stretford, Manchester M32 0TH. Hybrid working is an option.

About the Role: The Council is embarking on a journey to rethink the way we deliver our services for the future. You will join a busy, friendly, and proactive team with opportunities to work on a variety of high-quality projects that bring about change, helping to ensure that Trafford’s services are sustainable, future-proof, and deliver the best outcomes for residents. As a Project Manager in the Modernisation Team, you will support the delivery of key work priorities across the Council to deliver both revenue and capital projects which achieve corporate and borough wide benefits. Our Finance and Change Programme over the next two years is important to us and your role will be to deliver projects that support sustainable solutions that link to the corporate plan. The role benefits from working within a large Modernisation team, which delivers projects at pace and in a timely manner to deliver a range of outcomes that support the three corporate priorities and both directorate investment led activity or options for savings and change. You will be linked directly with the Business Intelligence Unit, interconnected with our Policy and Intelligence & Insight colleagues.
About you: You will need demonstrable experience of stakeholder management and collaborating across services and organisations, delivering to deadlines, working within a budget, and possessing strong project and change management, risk management, process mapping, business analysis and communication skills. Ideally, you will have experience of working on projects within a complex organisation, using recognised project management methodology. You will need to be eager to apply previous skills and experience to new challenges and be capable of establishing and maintaining positive and collaborative relationships across the team, organisation and partnerships. You should hold a minimum of a degree level or equivalent qualification/experience in a related subject and a commitment to your own and others personal development.
