About this Role
Here, at Lime Tree Primary Academy we recognise the value of effective teamwork, and our Learning Support Assistants are very much part of both our class teams and the wider school community. Their input forms an integral part of our provision and is valued by all staff, including the Senior Leadership Team.
Duties include:
- Assisting the teacher to provide care and support for pupils
- Supporting learning through planned and differentiated activities
- Preparation of an effective learning environment
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of pupils
You will have a dynamic, exceptional, and creative approach to improving the teaching and learning in a way that benefits all our pupils.
We are looking for a compassionate and caring practitioner who is aspirational and passionate about outcomes for children with special needs. They should be someone who:
- Can work in partnership with others
- Is flexible and well organised
- Can make positive relationships with parents
Previous experience in a school setting would be beneficial but is not essential; however, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate that they can engage with all our pupils and build positive relationships.
This role will be 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday in Early Years. We are open, supportive and flexible with high-quality CPD opportunities through our Teaching School Hubs and Professional Development Institute. Flexible working will be considered; please discuss your preferences at interview.
