resolving electrical breakdowns and emergency repairs.

  • Diagnosing faults on complex electrical systems. Fault finding on 110V, 240V and 415V AC systems. Troubleshooting emergency stop circuits. Working with S7 PLCs, ABB inverters, Profibus and SCADA systems. Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics. Supporting machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects. Maintaining accurate records through the company's maintenance management system. Maintaining appropriate levels of engineering spares and supporting improvements to spare-parts storage. Assisting with purchasing and ensuring parts are sourced efficiently. Supporting the wider maintenance team with mechanical and electrical activities. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop and working environment. Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company health & safety procedures.

    What we're looking for - Electrical Maintenance Technician You will ideally have

    Level 3 Electrical Maintenance qualification or equivalent. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Experience working with S7 PLC controllers. Knowledge of ABB inverters. Understanding of Profibus and SCADA systems. Experience working with 110/240/415V AC systems. Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics. Ability to fault-find emergency stop and safety circuits. PAT testing knowledge and an understanding of relevant statutory requirements. Good understanding of industrial machinery and electrical maintenance.

    Desirable Experience It would also be advantageous if you have experience with: Electrical inspection and testing. Mechanical maintenance. Conveyors, bearings, gearboxes and motors. Counterbalance forklift trucks. IPAF.
