Overview: My client is a well-established market leader in the beauty sector, operating both wholesale and retail.

Responsibilities:

  • Demand Forecasting – develop accurate forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and cross-functional inputs.
  • Inventory Optimization – collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement to balance product availability and carrying costs; manage e-commerce warehouse stock.
  • Forecast Accuracy – enhance forecasting models, improve data accuracy and efficiency through automation and technology; monitor performance metrics.
  • Sales & Market Analysis – analyze sales data and customer demand patterns to identify drivers.
  • Collaboration – partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations; lead monthly Demand Clinics with Sales Account Managers.
  • New Product Development – support planning for new product launches; refine forecasts as required.
  • Promotional Planning – incorporate promotions, seasonality, and market events into forecasts.
  • Risk Management – anticipate and mitigate supply chain or market risks; develop contingency plans.
  • Reporting – produce reports summarizing forecast performance, risks, and actionable insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification (APICS, IBF) is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a related analytical role in manufacturing, retail, or consumer goods.
  • Proficient with Excel, SQL, Power BI and demand-planning systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels.
  • Detail-oriented, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker capable of translating data insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and able to thrive in a dynamic, changing environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset, systematic problem-solving, and a strong work ethic.
  • Self-reliant, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels, including directors and the CEO.
