Primary Learning Mentor - Trafford
Help children build confidence, overcome barriers and thrive at school. Cover People are looking for a caring and proactive Learning Mentor to support pupils in a primary school in Trafford. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships and helping children develop the emotional, social and practical skills they need to engage in learning.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils who need additional guidance.
- Supporting emotional wellbeing, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Helping children engage with classroom activities and develop independence.
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide consistent support.
Candidate Requirements:
- Have experience working with children in education, youth work, mentoring or a similar setting.
- Bring a calm, patient approach and can build trust with pupils.
- Understand the challenges faced by children with SEND or social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Are committed to safeguarding and creating an inclusive environment.
