Trafford Leisure are looking for photographer volunteers to capture our sites!
There’s a time and place for stock images, but in our centres we have a beautiful community that we would like to capture and change our outward facing brand to reflect real people. From swimming to gymnastics, climbing walls to chair based exercises, workspaces to football pitches. We need to capture it all and fairly represent our wonderfully diverse community.
What does a typical day look like?
If you have your own camera and equipment then there’s no set routine, your contribution can be as flexible as you like. Whether it’s 1–2 hours a week, a full day, or even once a month, we’ll work around your schedule. Our centres are open seven days a week from 6:30am to 10pm, giving you plenty of options. While on site, your role is to capture authentic video and images that bring our brand to life. We’ll provide a clear brief and share our brand guidelines before you start, then it’s over to your creativity! After capturing content, you’ll edit and send it back to us via WeTransfer, and of course, you’re welcome to use your work to build your own portfolio.
Your Tasks:
- Capture images and video content of real people in our centres and outside of them
- Edit and send back the content you have created via WeTransfer
- Speak to customers to clarify consent for photography and avoid anyone who doesn’t consent.
- Be confident and approachable when speaking to customers to gain their trust and ensure they are relaxed and natural whilst being photographed.
Why Volunteer?
- Build a professional portfolio with real-world content.
- Gain experience in photography and videography for a community-focused brand.
- Make a positive impact by representing real people.
Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check
This role does not require volunteers to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Services (DBS) check.
