Trainee Duty Manager – Manchester, Greater Manchester Due to business development and growth Trafford Leisure is looking for outstanding people to join our team, in the role of a Trainee Duty Manager. Location: Altrincham (due to open in early 2025) , Urmston, Sale or Stretford. Salary: £12.92 per hour Hours: 39 hours per week Trafford Leisure is a community interest company, we exist to benefit the Trafford community and we are committed to being a responsible and sustainable employer. We are the largest operator of sport and leisure facilities in Trafford, operating nine indoor facilities, one golf course and driving range and 31 outdoor football pitches, attracting over 2 million visits per year and employing a workforce of over 300 people. This is a pivotal point in our evolution as Trafford Council invest millions of pounds into the 5 main indoor leisure facilities in Trafford over the next 5 years. The ambitious investment program will see the portfolio of centres transformed into fit for purpose, accessible, inspiring spaces under a new brand of for future generations to come. The role: In this role you will be responsible for:- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all visitors feel welcome and valued. Assist the Duty Manager with daily operations, including opening, closing, and ensuring smooth facility management. Manage difficult situations and guide the team in resolving customer concerns effectively. Collaborate with other teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service for all customers. Work with your Manager to identify areas for service improvement and share ideas to meet customer needs. Greet visitors warmly, respond to inquiries, and ensure customer satisfaction. Support sales and retention efforts by engaging with customers, generating leads, and building long-term relationships. Ensure equipment is clean, safe, and ready for use. Prepare activity areas and equipment to align with scheduled programmes. Provide lifeguard support, maintaining a safe swimming environment for all customers. We are looking for motivated, proactive and enthusiastic individual’s to join our team at an exciting period of change for Trafford Leisure. To be successful in this role you must hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and preferably a current First Aid at Work qualification. Working Hours: 39 hours a week Primary Location: Your primary location will be one of our Leisure Centres based in either Altrincham (due to open in early 2025) , Urmston, Sale or Stretford.
