Are you passionate about gymnastics and looking for a pathway into coaching? Trafford Leisure is launching a volunteer-to-paid coaching programme at our Altrincham site, and we\’d love to hear from you
Whether you\’re an ex-gymnast, have some gymnastics experience, or simply love the sport and want to get involved, this is a fantastic opportunity to build a career in coaching with full support and funding.
About Us:
We are proud to continue our recruitment campaign for the new purpose-built gymnastics\’ hub at move Altrincham, part of a multi-million-pound investment in the Trafford community.
The gymnastics programme has returned in a dedicated space designed for children aged 18 months through to teenagers.

What\’s the Offer?
This is a structured pathway where you start as a volunteer, gain your Level 1 qualification (fully funded), and transition into a paid coaching role with guaranteed hours:
- Volunteers must be at least 15 years and 6 months old
- You must be able to commit to at least 3 hours per week
- After completing 40 volunteer hours, you\’ll begin your Level 1 Gymnastics Coaching qualification – fully funded by Trafford Leisure
- Once enrolled on Level 1, you\’ll be paid at the trainee rate of £12.60 per hour
- Upon completing Level 1, you\’ll be paid at the qualified rate of £12.90 per hour
- You\’ll be guaranteed at least 3 paid coaching hours per week once qualified
