About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative and organised individual who enjoys working with people and making a positive contribution to their local community. As Volunteer Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day delivery of Trafford Libraries’ volunteer programme, helping to recruit, onboard, support and retain volunteers across the service. Working closely with library teams and partner organisations, you will advocate for the value of volunteering, promote volunteering opportunities, attend local recruitment events and engage with residents interested in getting involved. You will play an important operational role in ensuring volunteers are effectively supported and deployed, helping to maintain a positive volunteering experience and enabling volunteers to make an important contribution to enhancing library services and community connections.

You will be passionate about working with people and providing excellent customer service. You will have experience of supporting, coordinating and developing staff and/or volunteers in an operational setting, together with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will be confident building relationships with a wide range of people and able to encourage, motivate and support others to achieve positive outcomes.
Additional Information

The role requires regular travel across the borough, working within Trafford Libraries and occasionally at partner organisation venues. Flexibility is required, as occasional evening and weekend working will be necessary to support volunteer recruitment, community engagement activities and service priorities.
