The Dean Trust Broadoak (Broadoak School) is seeking to appoint a Teacher of History.
Start Date: 1 September 2026
National Teacher Pay Scale: M1‑UPS3
Working Pattern: 27.5 hours Full Time, Monday‑Friday
Contract: 1 Year fixed term

Qualifications:
- Honours degree or equivalent, in a history related subject (2:2 or above)
- Qualified teacher status
- Enthusiastic and outstanding classroom practitioner, to be able to teach History up to GCSE standard
- Full working knowledge of the National Curriculum requirements for specified subject
- Be able to work as a member of a team
- Be committed to ensuring that every pupil is given the opportunity to achieve their potential and meet the high expectations set for them
- Take responsibility for personal and professional development and to keep up to date with research and development in both subjects and teaching methodology with a strong appreciation for the enthusiasm of how Technology can improve teaching and learning and contribute to a skill and capabilities‑based curriculum
- To be able to assist in the planning and organisation of school trips/visits
- Ability to foster and maintain collaborative working relationships and the sharing of good practice
- Ability to manage time effectively and deal with conflicting priorities
- Develop and implement policies and practices which reflect the school’s commitment to high achievement
- To be able to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, parents and members of the community
