About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join Trafford's SEN Advisory Service (SENAS) as a SEND Inclusion Consultant specialising in Physical and Medical Needs.
In this rewarding role, you will help shape inclusive practice across schools, colleges and settings, ensuring children and young people with SEND can thrive, participate fully and achieve their potential. Working collaboratively with education, health and social care partners, you will provide specialist advice, training and support, contribute to statutory SEND processes and play a key role in delivering Trafford's vision for inclusive education.

About You

You will be a qualified teacher with substantial SEND experience, ideally including SENCO or specialist teaching responsibilities. You will have a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, inclusive practice and the needs of children and young people with physical disabilities and medical needs. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and relationship-building skills who can work effectively with schools, families and multi-agency partners. You will be confident delivering advice, training and support that improves outcomes and promotes inclusion for children and young people.

Additional Information

This is a hybrid role with a combination of home working, office-based working and regular visits to educational settings across Trafford. Flexibility will be required to meet service needs.

• Enhanced DBS Check: An enhanced DBS Check with children/adults barred list will be required.
• Driving: In this role you will be required to drive to schools and settings across Trafford and occasionally beyond the Trafford Borough. You will be asked for a copy of your driving license as part of the recruitment process.
• Outside Core Hours: You may be required from time to time to work outside core hours, in which case Trafford's TOIL Policy would be applied.
