About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity within our team, a brand new role, which has been developed as a part of the Trafford Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Skills Development Programme. The programme aims to:
- Support growth of expertise in the sector.
- Promote opportunities to new entrants.
- Inspire the future generation of manufacturing employees.
As Project Officer, you will:
- Coordinate/ deliver employer engagement activities for schools, including organising workplace visits/ events.
- Develop resources for parents, carers, and advisers to improve understanding of Manufacturing career pathways.
- Build relationships with employers to co-design effective Careers Education activities which could inspire their future talent pipeline.
About You
You will have:
- A passion to support people to have a clear line of sight into high quality jobs in the growing economy.
- Strong communications skills, and be able to communicate with a range of audiences, with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels.
- Stakeholder management skills, to build and maintain relationships with schools, employers, colleagues and more.
- The ability to design and deliver engaging activities for people.
- Computer skills, and an ability to create reports, presentations and more.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Additional Information
- An enhanced/basic DBS Check with children/adults barred list will be required.
- You may be required to drive in this role.
- This role will involve working from a mixture of locations, including from the office, home, and attending meetings/ events at schools and employers across Trafford.
