Midday Assistant Band 1 – £24,413 - £24,796 pro rata. Working hours: Monday – Friday 12:00 – 1:15 pm (6.25 hours per week, term time only). Reporting to: School Business Manager and Midday Supervisor.
Purpose
To create an enjoyable and educational lunch-time experience for pupils based on safe play and good conduct, both as an individual and as part of a team.
Key Duties
- Supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground and school premises, from leaving the classroom at the start of lunchtime to handover to a member of the teaching staff at the end of lunchtime, ensuring children are never unattended.
- Develop positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Adhere to the school’s safeguarding policy.
- Perform ancillary duties such as cleaning up spillages, ensuring tables are clean between sittings, etc.
- Maintain good order and conduct.
- Deal with minor accidents to pupils.
- Report issues to the Midday Supervisor.
- Follow fire alarm and evacuation procedures.
- Develop lunchtime games and activities.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties and activities as directed by the Headteacher or equivalent.
