About the Role
The Insights and Intelligence Service is on an exciting journey to transform how the Council uses data and digital applications to support high-quality services for residents. Our Applications Team plays a key role in managing, supporting and developing the systems that underpin Social Care, Education, Early Help and Youth Justice services, including Liquidlogic Adults, Liquidlogic Children’s, Early Help, ContrOCC, Education and Youth Justice systems and their associated portals.
We are looking for an Application Lead to join the team and work alongside our existing Application Leads to provide effective day‑to‑day leadership across application support and development. You will help oversee the Application Support Officers, support the operation of the user helpdesk, and contribute to the continued improvement of both new and existing systems so they meet local service needs and national requirements.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual with a strong understanding of Social Care, Education and Youth Justice systems, and the ability to work confidently within the complexities of social care environments.
You will bring proven experience of Liquidlogic systems and associated workflows, alongside strong technical skills in application development, configuration, system design and testing.
You will be confident working with a wide range of stakeholders, using excellent written and verbal communication skills to support service improvement, manage change and translate user needs into effective application solutions.
You will be analytical, customer‑focused and highly organised, with strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing demands to meet deadlines.
As well as leading your own workload, you will be able to review, support, motivate and develop colleagues, helping to create a responsive and effective application support service.
