About the role
We are looking for an inspirational Early Years Teacher to join our dedicated team and help lead outstanding learning in our Reception and Nursery provision.
You will:
- Plan and deliver a rich, well-designed Early Years curriculum that supports
strong outcomes in Communication & Language, Literacy and early mathematics - Use robust observation and assessment to identify next steps and personalise
Learning so every pupil makes good progress - Create an enabling learning environment, indoors and outdoors, that stimulates curiosity and sustained shared thinking
- Work closely with colleagues, teaching assistants and external agencies to
support pupils with SEND and those with additional needs - Promote our school values and contribute to the wider life of the school, including parent engagement, extra‑curricular activities and community events
This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about early childhood development and keen to contribute to school improvement priorities such as developing oracy, mathematical fluency and refining the EYFS curriculum.
About you — the ideal candidate
The Governors invite applications from suitably qualified, experienced teachers to teach in Nursery from January 2027. The post is for 2 terms ending at the end of July 2027.
- Is a reflective, creative and confident Early Years practitioner with qualified
teacher status - Is a practising Catholic (preferred)
- Has a thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and how
young children learn - Builds warm, trusting relationships with pupils and families and champions
inclusion for all - Uses high-quality adult engagement to develop sustained shared thinking and
deeper learning - Can manage behaviour positively and constructively, modelling our values of
kindness, justice and service - Works collaboratively, communicates clearly and is committed to ongoing
professional development
