This role offers the chance to shape the future of Trafford Libraries and champion their impact across local communities. You will lead key service areas, driving innovation, outstanding customer experience, and delivery of all Universal Offers by working collaboratively in a team of Library Managers. You will inspire and develop staff and volunteers, oversee performance, budgets, stock, events, and partnerships, and secure opportunities that strengthen and grow the library offer. You will represent Trafford Libraries at every level, ensure welcoming and vibrant spaces, and help deliver continuous improvement across a service that enriches lives and empowers communities.

You will hold a degree or NVQ Level 5 qualification, or have equivalent experience, and you will be committed to ongoing professional development. You will use systems to improve efficiency and demonstrate skills in performance management, information services, and administrative and financial procedures.

You will be required to work and travel within Trafford and beyond, and at different administrative sites, sometimes at short notice. Unsocial hours/weekend work will be required.
