St Antony's RC School is seeking a committed, compassionate, and highly organised Pastoral Manager to join our dedicated secondary school team.
Location: Urmston, Manchester.
Salary: Band 6, SCP 23-25 pro-rate.
Type: Full-time, permanent.
Hours: 8:30 am-4:15 pm, 39 weeks (TTO plus 5 days).
Start date: 1 September 2026.
Key Responsibilities- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students across assigned year groups.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and staff.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, behaviour, and wellbeing.
- Support students facing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
- Work alongside safeguarding and inclusion teams to ensure student welfare.
- Coordinate interventions and support plans for vulnerable students.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Liaise with external agencies and support services where appropriate.
- Experience working with young people in a school or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
