This is an exciting opportunity to join us in developing a model of Trafford Family Help, recognising that families need the right help at the right time. As part of our Family Support Service you will work alongside the Senior Family Group Coordinator to champion the use of and deliver Family Group Conferences in line with the Family Rights Group guidelines and toolkit.
Key Responsibilities
- You will bring experience in working with children and families and promoting family‑based decision models.
- You will be skilled in facilitation, mediation & negotiation with individuals and groups, with a solution focus that is empowering to families.
- You will have a good understanding of safeguarding practice.
Key Requirements
- Enhanced/basic DBS Check with children/adults barred list.
- Any appointment made to this role will be subject to the candidate being vetted under Greater Manchester Police clearance processes, with a minimum of 3 years residency in the UK.
- Driving licence required – you will be asked for a copy of your licence as part of the recruitment process.
- Training and experience as a Family Group conference coordinator is desirable but not essential – training will be provided.
