The Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lecturer to join the Adult ESOL team and the Department of ESOL, Lifelong Learning & Skills Development, helping us to achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.

The Role

  • Delivery to Adult ESOL learners
  • Teaching and Assessing ESOL and Maths from pre‑entry to level 2
  • Using a range of traditional delivery methods alongside strong digital skills which you would pass on to learners.
  • Involvement in the whole assessment process from Initial Assessment to the IQA Process.

About you

We are looking for someone passionate about sharing knowledge, skills, and experience, with a genuine enthusiasm for supporting adult ESOL learners. The role suits an ambitious, proactive individual able to work collaboratively within a supportive and high‑performing team, with potential for progression.

Qualifications

  • Both experience and a teaching qualification are essential.
  • PGCE (or equivalent) with an ESOL subject specialism, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a Further Education setting and supporting vulnerable learners.
  • Thorough understanding of the ESOL Core Curriculum, including progression across different levels and the development of skills within each stage.
