Role: Lecturer Adult ESOL (21 hours per week, permanent part-time)

Salary: £21,011.40-£28,860.20 Pro Rata

Pension: Eligible to contribute towards the Teachers Pensions scheme.

Location: Stockport – possible travel to other sites.

About the Department: Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) seeks an experienced Lecturer to join the Adult ESOL team in the Department of ESOL, Lifelong Learning & Skills Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery to Adult ESOL learners.
  • Teaching and assessing ESOL and Maths from pre-entry to level 2.
  • Using a range of traditional delivery methods and strong digital skills.
  • Involvement in the whole assessment process from Initial Assessment to the IQA process.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Passion for teaching adult ESOL learners.
  • Ambitious, proactive and collaborative.
  • PGCE (or equivalent) with an ESOL subject specialism, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a Further Education setting and supporting vulnerable learners.
  • Thorough understanding of the ESOL Core Curriculum across different levels.
  • Experience in teaching maths within the ESOL context.
