Salary : £33,351.00 - £47,397.00 FTE

Employer Pension Contribution : 28.68% (£9,565.06 - £13,593.45 FTE)

Location – Stockport Campus with the ability to travel to other campuses.

Trafford & Stockport College’s University Centre is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Lecturer in Health and Social Care to contribute to our growing higher education provision. This role is ideal for applicants with professional experience in the health and social care sector, particularly those with backgrounds as nurses (including non‑registered), physiotherapists, occupational therapists, or other allied health professionals.

The successful applicant will deliver teaching on the FdSc Assistant Practitioner in Health and Social Care, a Foundation Degree and Higher Technical Qualification validated by Sheffield Hallam University. Developed in partnership with healthcare providers, this programme is designed to support learners progressing into Band 3 and 4 roles or toward further qualifications in nursing and allied health professions.

In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging, practice‑informed sessions that align academic content with real‑world application. You will support students in developing essential skills and knowledge across a range of modules such as:

  • Integrated Holistic Assessment and Delivery of Health and Social Care Interventions
  • Work‑Based Learning
  • Essential Sciences for Person‑Centred Care
  • Promoting Health, Wellbeing and Independence
  • Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care
  • Transition to Professional Practice

You will also play a key role in mentoring students through their work‑based learning and the development of reflective practice. A qualification in nursing or a related health profession is desirable, though professional registration is not required. Applicants should hold an appropriate degree and demonstrate a commitment to supporting student success in higher education.
