Salary: ÂŁ39,561 - ÂŁ43,356 (Scale 9 Business Support)

As Learning Technology Lead, you’ll help turn that ambition into day‑to‑day practice by enabling staff to use technology confidently, purposefully and in line with our Teaching & Learning Strategy and Student Digital Entitlement.

The role

  • Lead the learning technology offer across our campuses, providing expert guidance on platforms and tools that improve planning, teaching, assessment and feedback, with accessibility built‑in from the start.
  • Design and deliver CPD that is practical, evidence‑informed and aligned to college priorities, modelling strategies that staff can lift straight into their lessons.
  • Work with curriculum teams to plan, trial and evaluate high‑impact digital approaches.
  • Champion inclusion and assistive technologies, ensuring our digital choices remove barriers and promote learner independence.
  • Lead projects and pilots that move us forward in the areas of artificial intelligence, technology to assist with assessment and virtual reality.
  • Curate a high‑quality digital toolkit and track adoption and impact.
  • Act as a trusted specialist, advising on procurement, integrations and roadmap planning alongside Quality, IT and Curriculum leaders.

About you

  • Strong credibility in the area of learning technology and a track record of helping colleagues improve teaching with technology.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of learning platforms and AI‑enhanced workflows, with a discerning, ethical approach to their use in FE.
  • Great facilitation skills - able to design CPD that is hands‑on, inclusive and grounded in what works.
  • Change leadership - you’re organised, collaborative and comfortable delivering cross‑college initiatives.
