Here at Traffic Label we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Email Performance Assistant to support the daily execution and optimisation of our email deliverability initiatives. Reporting to the Email Deliverability Specialist, this role is perfect for candidates with a solid grounding in email marketing who want to advance their expertise in deliverability and sender reputation management.

Key Responsibilities

  • IP Management: Assist in managing and warming up over 50 dedicated IP addresses across multiple email platforms.
  • Sender Certification: Support the setup, submission, and ongoing maintenance of sender certification processes, with a focus on Return Path (Validity Sender Certification).
  • Campaign Execution: Collaborate on email campaign strategy from a deliverability perspective, including template creation, audience segmentation, and data hygiene.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Work closely with the Email Deliverability Lead to monitor deliverability and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with developers and designers to ensure websites and landing pages adhere to email best practices.
  • Performance Tracking: Utilise Everest or similar tools to monitor inbox placement, engagement metrics, and sender reputation.
  • Reporting: Analyse and report on key performance indicators such as open rates, click rates, and bounce rates.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date records of domain/IP configurations, email authentication, and warm-up progress.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed on email industry trends, ISP policy updates, and deliverability best practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience: At least 12 months in email marketing, preferably in a fast-paced or high-volume environment.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with campaign management, including content creation, layout, CRM/data segmentation, and performance analysis (12 months experience using analytic tools such as Looker or PowerBI desirable). Familiarity with deliverability concepts such as authentication, spam traps, blocklists, and engagement metrics. Previous use of major ESPs (Dotdigital, Adestra, SendGrid preferred). Exposure to Return Path (Validity) sender certification is highly desirable. Experience with deliverability tools/platforms (Everest, Postmaster Tools) is an advantage. Understanding of sender reputation and inbox placement principles. Knowledge of DNS configuration (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and IP/domain warm-up strategies is a plus. Broader digital marketing knowledge (SEO, PPC, social) is beneficial. Familiarity with GDPR and PECR an advantage.
