A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a Fitter. Working from their manufacturing facility in Shropshire, the Fitter will be responsible for:
- Assemble and fit mechanical parts and machined components, following engineering drawings and CAD detail.
- Assemble and fit pneumatic and controls/sensor systems to assembly fixtures, robot grippers and automation based components.
- Install and integrate assembly fixtures, robot grippers and automation based components.
- Support installation of full assembly cells during commissioning phases and also at customer when required.
- Interpreting drawings and CAD data to support fitting of robots, guarding, fixtures, services cabinets and trunking, including laying where applicable communications and pneumatic/electrical cabling.
- Support when required fitting activities including dis-assembly and re-assembly of pipework and steels.
- Participate in training sessions and development programs as and when required.
- Any other duties as reasonably requested.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of an Apprenticeship or NVQ/City & Guilds and proven experience in a similar role.
