We are seeking a Loop Cutter for a full-time, on-site position based in Dudley. The Loop Cutter will be responsible for cutting loops for inductive loop installations, laying cables, assisting with the maintenance of highway equipment, and ensuring proper functionality of traffic control systems. Tasks will include working with excavation of trenches, ducts, and cable slots to support various traffic management systems. Adherence to safety guidelines and standards is paramount in this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience with groundwork, induction loop installation, and cable laying
  • Proficiency in the use of tools and equipment for cutting loops and installing traffic-related systems
  • Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in traffic management
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to perform on-site duties and adapt to varying weather and physical work conditions
  • Valid driver's license preferred; willingness to travel locally
  • HGV Licence would be a bonus
  • Previous experience in the road marking or traffic management industry is a plus
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety and operational standards
