We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a multi-award-winning antivirus and security company based in Fareham, Hampshire. They specialise in advanced online protection and offer a wide range of security tools and applications to keep users safe.
They are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately record accounting transactions in accordance with FRS102.
- Perform daily reconciliation of merchant processing accounts and compare with third-party systems.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting.
- Assist with Accounts Payable and company credit card reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of month-end accounts.
- Analyse actual cash received versus expected revenue to identify trends and variances.
- Reconcile revenue data with third-party systems to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between recorded revenue and system reports.
- Manage revenue cash flow forecasting to support business needs.
- Work with the billing team to minimise order-to-cash times.
- Perform regular cash sweeps of merchant accounts.
- Implement process improvements to enhance revenue tracking efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving revenue collection strategies.
- Prepare monthly revenue reports for stakeholders.
- Support forecasting and budgeting with revenue trend analysis.
- Model the financial implications of merchant processing agreements.
- Working towards an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Advanced IT and spreadsheet proficiency.
- Confident communicator with the ability to present financial data clearly.
