About Trafalgar House

We’re Trafalgar House, a pensions administrator with a difference. Since 2006, we’ve been raising the standard of pensions administration by investing in our people, our processes, and the technology behind it all. We began as an in-house team focused on quality and member experience. Today, we look after more than 30 pension schemes for some of the UK’s best-known companies — and we’re still growing.

Why we’re hiring

Our SQL-based core system runs everything from benefits and payroll to reporting and workflows. Alongside this, we build and use other tools to make things faster, smarter, and more efficient. That side of the business is expanding fast, which is why we’re looking for someone new to join our team.

What you’ll do

  • Developing and supporting back‑end applications with Python and Django.
  • Writing and optimising SQL queries and working with databases.
  • Collaborating with analysts and developers to deliver solutions that work.
  • Testing, documenting, and supporting systems like IntelliPen.
  • Contributing to a proactive development team that adds real value to the business.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience with Python (Django, Pandas, OpenPyxl a plus).
  • Full stack development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript; React is a bonus).
  • Experience with SQL databases and writing complex queries.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git/GitHub/GitLab/SVN).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and an eye for quality.
  • A proactive, flexible attitude and the ability to work well in a team.

Nice to have: knowledge of pensions/payroll, Linux, AI/ML, or large‑scale data projects.

Why join us

  • Career growth – training, support, and opportunities to progress.
  • Flexibility – a supportive environment that values work‑life balance.
  • Collaboration – a friendly team where your ideas are heard.
  • Innovation – the chance to work with modern systems and help shape how we use them.
  • Impact – the work you do will directly benefit thousands of people across the UK.

If you want more than just a job and are excited to be part of a growing company where people and tech go hand in hand – we’d love to hear from you.
