An experienced Works Foreman with a background in the manufacturing of steel‑framed buildings is required. The role involves assisting the Production Manager in the day‑to‑day operation of our fabrication workshop, taking lead responsibilities during periods of annual leave. The Works Foreman will be a nominated keyholder and, alongside the Production Manager, promote high‑quality and accurate fabrication output.
Responsibilities include:
- Reading computer‑generated fabrication drawings.
- Checking fabricated materials for precision and accuracy prior to welding and painting.
- Maintaining knowledge and understanding of health and safety and factory operating procedures, including welding and paint application.
The position is ideal for an experienced fabricator/welder looking to upskill into a supervisory role within a family business.
Hours of work: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Fridays. Overtime will be paid for any hours worked outside of these times.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate with overtime availability based on knowledge and experience within the structural steelwork industry.
