About the team
This role owns the end-to-end financial and operational lifecycle of market data across all exchanges and vendors, encompassing procurement, entitlements, inventory accuracy, and rigorous invoice validation. As a hands-on individual contributor, you will ensure data integrity, cost control, and regulatory compliance while delivering at pace within an agile environment. You will collaborate closely with Finance, Product, Legal, and Tech teams to ensure that data is appropriately sourced, governed, and commercially controlled.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day procurement operations with exchanges and vendors, including requirement gathering, quoting, and coordinating the onboarding process under agreed commercial terms.
- Provide essential commercial and compliance support by conducting usage and cost analysis and maintaining evidence to meet licensing and regulatory obligations.
- Act as the primary operational point of contact for external exchanges and vendors.
- Maintain a highly accurate market data inventory with robust quality controls to ensure total consistency across entitlements, reporting, and billing.
- Oversee vendor and exchange relationships operationally by coordinating requirements, resolving service issues, and ensuring all SLAs are met.
- Execute the end-to-end exchange reporting cycle, managing the submission calendar and ensuring all records are validated and accurate.
- Own the operational finance workflow by reconciling invoices against contracts, inventory records, and actual usage.
- Support critical finance functions, including accruals, cost forecasting, and internal cost allocations.
- Drive continuous improvement of internal controls and processes through pragmatic automation and exception-based checks to enhance speed and scalability.
What makes you the perfect fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, IT, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in business operations, market data management, vendor operations, or financial operations within a fintech environment.
- Strong finance operations expertise, specifically in owning invoice validation, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
- Proven experience building medium-complexity financial models to support cost management.
- Demonstrated track record in supporting data procurement and renewals, working effectively with Legal and Procurement teams on contract changes.
- A strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage complex BAU tasks independently and drive issues to closure.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a control-oriented mindset to maintain audit-ready records.
- Confident communication skills, capable of managing vendor escalations and influencing internal stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and GSuite for complex data analysis; familiarity with Jira or Confluence is an advantage.
- Proactive problem-solver who is adaptable to agile environments and able to propose practical, scalable solutions.
