About your mission! - Make an impact

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Head of Tax to manage both domestic and international tax matters for a U.S. based Group with a global digital business and company with global subsidiaries in multiple countries. This role requires a broad technical expertise and experience in direct and indirect taxes with high requirements for transfer pricing and international tax. As the Group's first tax practitioner, you will play a key role in establishing a top class tax function within the Finance organisation.

How You’ll Drive Success

  • Transfer Pricing
    • Design and implement and operationalise new Global Transfer Pricing Model/Policy for the Group.
    • Prepare fully compliant Transfer Pricing documentation in line with the OECD Masterfile/Local File approach.
    • Prepare CbC Reporting as required.
  • International Tax
    • Ensure tax optimal and compliant legal structure of the Group's legal entities.
    • Advise in all tax planning matters including M&A tax due diligence and post-acquisition integration, as needed.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders (Legal, HR, FP&A) on all cross-border tax issues (e.g., permanent establishment risk, withholding taxes, employee mobility).
    • Manage tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
    • Monitor global tax developments and proactively assess potential impacts and recommend actions as needed.
  • Compliance, Documentation & Automation
    • Oversee, collaborate with, and support Finance to ensure timely and compliant tax filings Globally – including CIT returns, Indirect Tax returns (VAT, Sales Tax, GST, Sales & Use Tax), franchise taxes, property taxes and more Partner.
    • Support & review calculation of the tax provisions in the consolidated financial statement under US GAAP.
    • Maintain accurate tax records, supporting workpapers, and audit-ready documentation.
    • Identify and implement process improvements and automation within the tax function.
    • Manage external tax advisors.

What Makes You The Perfect Fit

  • Education & Certification
    • Relevant technical education such as (but not limited to) Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting/CPA, Finance, Law & Economy or related field required. Masters level degrees are preferred.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 8-10 years broad experience from consulting (e.g., Big 4) and/or in-house from larger multinational enterprise – ideally both.
    • Material experience with transfer pricing in all its aspects including model/policy design, implementation as well as transfer pricing operations and tax audit defence.
    • Good level of experience with indirect taxes globally.
    • Experience from digital/online business is a big plus but not a requirement.
    • Some experience with equity remuneration, payroll and social security is helpful but not a requirement.

    • Hands on approach and flexibility is very important, as is team playing.

    • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, global environment.
    • Proficiency in the relevant software including ERP.
