Your mission:

The Legal team sits at the heart of TradingView and it’s a very important part of the business. This lovely bunch supports all other TradingView teams, helping us achieve our goals each and every day. They’re special, they’re strong-willed, and they work in a lot of different areas. From structuring credit programmes, advising on innovative features, and assisting to launch into new territories, the Legal team does it all.

We’re looking for a Middle Legal Counsel to join our dedicated team responsible for responding to high-priority, complex, and often time-sensitive challenges. You’ll develop and execute proactive strategies and be involved in decision-making on critical issues that impact our business. We look for people who apply deep logic to their thinking, back reason with data, and have the confidence to deliver pragmatic legal solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Negotiate, draft, and execute commercial agreements with technology partners and vendors.
  2. Offer counsel on wide-ranging legal issues and advise executives within the company.
  3. Work alongside other departments across the company, including HR, Security, Compliance, Product, and Engineering.
  4. Advise on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with commercial transactions.
  5. Operationalize legal workflow and contract management across the company.
  6. Other duties as required or assigned.
  7. Helping the Legal team structure and expand legal processes to defend and protect intellectual property, including registered and unregistered rights.
  8. Managing operational risk, including regulatory filings and registration preparation.
  9. Identifying, assessing, monitoring, managing, and reporting on compliance risk in relation to TradingView products.

Required Skills:

  1. 1–3 years of PQE.
  2. Experience in intellectual property; market data; fintech; cryptocurrency; human resources; product; payments; compliance; data protection required.
  3. Experience working with regulators or for a regulated business is a plus.
  4. Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues.
  5. High degree of independence, initiative, and decisiveness, including the ability to work collaboratively and contribute successfully to cross-functional teams.
  6. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
  7. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance, entrepreneurial environment.

Nice to have:

  1. Private practice and/or in-house experience in a financial services organisation.
  2. Experience interpreting complex regulations in foreign jurisdictions.

It’ll also be an advantage if you have experience in:

  • Finance experience or knowledge of Trading
  • Knowledge of TradingView
