About the Role
As a Barista, you'll play a key role indelivering the exceptional coffee experience that Trading Post is known for.
You'll combine technical skill with genuinehospitality to craft consistently outstanding coffee while building meaningfulconnections with our guests. From perfectly dialled-in espresso to beautifullytextured milk, every cup reflects the pride we take in our craft.
You'll work with premium equipment,high-quality coffee and a supportive team that shares your passion for learningand delivering excellence.
A Day in the Life
As part of our Barista team, you'll:
- Prepare and serve consistently exceptional specialty coffee to Trading Post standards.
- Dial in grinders throughout the day to maintain quality andconsistency.
- Steam milk to a high standard and confidently pour basic latte art.
- Develop your knowledge of our coffees, brewing methods and retailproducts to confidently advise customers.
- Work closely with the Front of House and Kitchen teams to deliver aseamless guest experience.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organisation across the coffeestation.
- Support your teammates during busy periods and contribute to apositive team environment.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, you'll:
- Deliver consistently excellent coffee with speed, accuracy andattention to detail.
- Create genuine connections with guests through friendly andknowledgeable service.
- Maintain Trading Post's high standards of quality, cleanliness andhospitality.
- Continue developing your coffee knowledge through regular trainingand coaching.
- Build confidence in every aspect of specialty coffee and become atrusted member of the team.
- Contribute to a positive culture where teamwork and continuousimprovement are valued.
What We're Looking For

- Have previous barista experience in a busy hospitality environment.
- Have a genuine passion for specialty coffee and customer service.
- Take pride in producing consistently high-quality coffee.
- Stay calm and organised under pressure.

- Have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Are eager to continue learning and developing your coffee knowledge.
Desirable
- Experience with specialty coffee.
- Confident pouring basic latte art.
- Knowledge of alternative milks and espresso extraction.
- Experience using commercial espresso machines and grinders.
