About the Role

Every great kitchen relies on a strong team behind the scenes. As a Kitchen Porter, you'll play an essential role in keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running efficiently. You'll support the chefs by ensuring they have everything they need to deliver exceptional food, helping create the outstanding customer experience Trading Post is known for. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a supportive, hardworking team.

A Day in the Life

  • Keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service.
  • Wash and sanitise kitchen equipment, crockery, utensils and cookware.
  • Support the chefs by maintaining clean workstations throughout the day.
  • Assist with deliveries and safely store stock in the correct locations.
  • Dispose of waste responsibly and maintain recycling procedures.
  • Follow food safety, health and safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Help with basic food preparation when required.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure every service runs smoothly.

  • Experience working in a commercial kitchen.
  • A Level 2 Food Safety qualification.
  • Experience with stock deliveries or food preparation.
  • An ambition to progress into a chef role.
