OHS Advisor – Community-Focused Organisation

With a strong commitment to cultural safety and employee wellbeing, this organisation is seeking an experienced OHS Advisor to help shape and maintain a proactive, safety-first culture across a growing workforce.

Reporting to the OHS Manager, you\’ll provide expert support, guidance, and oversight of health and safety systems, policies, and practices across multiple sites. You\’ll build strong relationships across the business and work collaboratively to identify and mitigate risk, support incident investigations, and deliver practical safety initiatives that promote a physically and psychologically safe environment for all.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with leaders to support safety awareness, accountability, and improvement
  • Lead investigations, identify root causes, and implement control measures
  • Manage and review OHS systems, processes, and compliance reporting
  • Contribute to key projects including mental health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Support RTW, ergonomic assessments, and workplace risk reviews

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Sound knowledge of the OHS Act, Workers\’ Compensation legislation and HSR consultation processes
  • Strong understanding of RTW, Work Cover and TAC claims management
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within community services, education or healthcare
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence, support and educate
  • Understanding of the importance of cultural safety in work environments
  • Current Working With Children Check, National Police Check, Driver\’s Licence
