This is more than just a job - it’s a chance to become part of a student’s learning journey. As an Education Support Worker in a Special Development School, you’ll support students with additional learning needs both in and out of the classroom. You’ll assist with:
- Learning support - working alongside teachers to engage students in meaningful classroom activities
- Creating safe and nurturing learning environments
- Personal care (meals, toileting, and personal support) for students who need it
- Promoting independence and developmental goals for students
Your role is to partner with teachers to ensure every student can learn, participate, and grow.
Role Requirements:- A minimum of Certificate III in Disability or Certificate III in Education Support
- Experience supporting people with disabilities (in community, residential, or school settings)
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- A genuine interest in working with children in a school environment
- Two professional references (one must be managerial)
- Current First Aid/CPR, Working With Children Check, and NDIS Screening (or willingness to obtain)
- Willingness to assist with personal care duties as required
