Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a passionate and engaging Teaching Assistant to work on a long term basis at an excellent school in York, starting September 2026, and lasting until at least Easter 2027, with the idea of turning into a permanent job in the future. This is a full time role, and only applications from full time applicants will be considered at this time. Working hours for this position will be 8:30 until 3:30, and payment for this position will be between £95 and £105 per day depending on experience and qualifications.

This role will involve working with students from Year 3 through to Year 13, and requires a flexible practitioner that can add value across different age ranges. You will work with the SEND department to ensure student learning is facilitated effectively, and support on a pastoral level. As part of a small team, you will liaise effectively with teachers to ensure students are making progress, supported, and happy.

Located in York, this school is a short cycle and bus ride away from the train station. It is just outside of the city centre, located within beautiful grounds. There is a large car park onsite that has ample spaces and is free to park within. The school has a strong ethos, and are looking for candidates that match their values on providing the best possible education to their students. The facilities are state of the art, and are used to enhance the provision to students.
