The Role
The school are seeking an experienced Year 6 Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, prepare pupils for SATs, and support their transition to secondary school.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the Year 6 curriculum
- Preparing pupils for SATs with confidence and clear structure
- Assessing and tracking pupil progress, implementing targeted interventions
- Creating a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with the Year 6 team and wider KS2 staff
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
