Year 6 Teacher | Runcorn | Full-time, Long-term
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming Primary School in Runcorn on a full-time, long-term basis until July 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils through their final year of primary education, preparing them for SATs and their transition into secondary school.
The Role
- Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons for a Year 6 class
- Supporting pupils in preparation for SATs and ensuring progress across all core subjects
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Working closely with colleagues, parents, and SLT to support both academic and personal development
- Attending school meetings, staff training, and parents\β evenings as part of your professional responsibilities
- Taking an active role in the wider school community and contributing to extra-curricular opportunities
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A reflective practitioner with a commitment to raising standards and ensuring every child reaches their potential
