Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Hainault, Redbridge to recruit a committed Year 5 Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA who is passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the Year 5 class teacher, providing 1:1 support to two pupils with mild learning difficulties, while also offering general classroom assistance. The role requires patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach, alongside the confidence to support learning across the curriculum. You will play a key role in helping pupils stay engaged, build confidence and make steady progress throughout the school day.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a minimum of six months\’ experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting. Excellent English and maths skills are essential, as you will be supporting pupils with literacy and numeracy tasks, reinforcing key concepts, and encouraging independent learning. Experience working with pupils with additional learning needs will be highly beneficial.

This is a full-time, term-time-only role, starting on 23rd February 2026, with a daily rate of £90-£95 PAYE, depending on experience.
