Tradewind are currently recruiting for a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a well-established and inclusive primary school in Salford on a full-time basis from September. You will be responsible for leading a Year 5 class for the full academic year, delivering a broad and engaging curriculum that supports pupils as they progress through upper Key Stage 2. The school has a strong community ethos and is committed to high standards of teaching and learning, with a focus on developing confident, independent learners in preparation for Year 6.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience teaching within KS2, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Confidence in delivering engaging lessons across core subjects, including English and Maths (experience with schemes such as White Rose Maths is desirable)
  • A positive and inclusive teaching style, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Effective behaviour management strategies and the ability to create a focused and productive classroom environment
  • Experience differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach

Essential requirements:

  • QTS (or an equivalent teaching qualification)
  • Recent KS2 teaching experience supported by strong references
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
