Are you looking to demonstrate your competency and creative flair within a KS2 setting? Tradewind are recruiting a dynamic teacher with proven success in Year 3! Tradewind are looking to recruit a Year 3 teacher to join a wonderful two-form entry Primary school in Heaton Mersey, Stockport and become a valued member of the KS2 team. This position will commence September 2025 until April 2026. This maternity cover role comes with an attractive salary (MPS 1-6) which reflects your experience along with being enrolled into a fantastic leading CPD program. The school are excited to welcome a new addition to the KS2 department and will ensure you are fully supported in all aspects of the role.

About the School

This is a two form entry primary school situated in Heaton Mersey, Stockport. With just less than 500 pupils from Nursery to Year 6. The school has an extensive ground with a fantastic outdoor space including two playgrounds, a large playing field and forest school area. So, if you are keen to capitalise on learning opportunities in the outdoor environment, this is the ideal place for you!

To be successful in this role, experience of teaching in Key Stage 2 is essential as is a thorough up-to-date knowledge and experience of the curriculum. What is also important is your ability to interact and support children in a positive way to foster their enthusiasm for learning and to have the skills and maturity required to take on the teaching duties and responsibilities in a new school.

Essential Requirements

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained.
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks. Or be happy to undertake a new DBS through us.
  • Have excellent references to support your previous experience in a KS2 setting.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
