A successful and reputable one‑form‑entry primary school near South Croydon is seeking a Year 5 Class Teacher to support them with a maternity cover contract from September 2026.

The Headteacher offers 1 full day fortnightly off‑timetable to dedicate to planning (paid as normal). This is a classroom teaching role in Year 3 offered on your pay scale in line with experience via PAYE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full teaching responsibility for a lower Key Stage 2 class (Year 3)
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet needs
  • Create and maintain a positive, well‑managed classroom environment
  • Support the learning and development of all pupils, including SEND and EAL
  • Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all children
