Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School Tradewind Education are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Worksop. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and enjoys supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning. You will work closely with teaching staff and pupils to help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students who require additional assistance. Support pupils with their learning and help them to access the curriculum. Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning. Provide additional support to pupils who may have SEND or other barriers to learning. Assist with classroom activities and preparation of learning resources. Monitor student's progress and provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate. Job Requirements The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have: Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to build trusting and professional relationships with young people. Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The confidence to support students with a range of abilities and needs.
