Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming infant school in Worksop for an enthusiastic and caring After School Club Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and is passionate about creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment at the end of the school day.

The Role

As the After School Club Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a group of approximately 10-15 children from EYFS to Key Stage 1 between 3:00pm and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. You will plan and deliver a range of age-appropriate activities, ensure the welfare and safety of all children, and create a positive atmosphere where children can relax, play, and develop social skills after the school day has ended.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the daily operation of the after-school club including managing other staff
  • Supervising children aged 4-7 years old
  • Planning and organising engaging indoor and outdoor activities
  • Providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
  • Preparing and serving light snacks in line with food hygiene standards
  • Maintaining accurate registers and following safeguarding procedures
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff

The Ideal Candidate

  • Enjoys working with children and supporting their development
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Is reliable, enthusiastic, and able to lead activities independently
  • Previous experience working in a school, childcare, nursery, or club setting would be advantageous but is not essential
  • A First Aid Certificate and Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial; however, training can be provided by the school
