Tradewind Recruitment are working with a newly opened all-through SEND School in Wombourne that is looking to recruit a SEND HLTA for a temporary-to-permanent role. The school provides personalised and inclusive education for children and young people aged 5‑16 who experience a range of learning difficulties, including ASD, Global Development Delay, Neurodiversity, moderate learning difficulties, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Processing difficulties, and Speech, language and communication needs. The school follows a bespoke model designed to engage all learners and a broad range of the National Curriculum. Therapeutic interventions and enrichment activities support the well‑being and development of students, helping them become self‑regulating, self‑aware, socially and emotionally mature.

Role Summary

We are looking for a full‑time SEND HLTA to start ASAP. Cover supervisors, HLTAs, and teaching assistants who are willing to step up and are comfortable planning lessons may also be considered. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pupils with special educational needs, planning lessons, and promoting their academic and personal development.

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record of school experience.
  • Strong understanding of special needs and the ability to empathise and help pupils thrive.
  • Willingness to plan lessons and work within the school's therapeutic and curriculum framework.

Contract & Compensation

This is a temporary-to-permanent position. The role is paid on experience.
