Tradewind Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Halton to recruit an experienced SEND Administrator to join their team as soon as possible, with the role potentially running until July, with the potential for a permanent post for the right candidate.

The Role - SEND Administrator

As SEND Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the school's SEND provision and ensuring statutory processes are completed accurately and on time. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing SEND administration and records
  • Using SIMS to maintain accurate student data
  • Updating and managing provision maps
  • Preparing and submitting SEND referrals
  • Supporting the administration of EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)
  • Liaising with internal staff and external agencies
  • Ensuring compliance with SEND legislation and deadlines

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a SEND Administrator (or similar SEND support role)
  • Strong working knowledge of SIMS
  • Experience with provision mapping
  • Proven experience submitting SEND referrals and EHCPs
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A professional, confidential, and child-centred approach
  • Experience working in a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
