The Opportunity
We are keen to hear from Cover Supervisors and education professionals who are interested in working within secondary schools across South Gloucestershire. As a Cover Supervisor, you could be supporting lessons across a range of subjects, maintaining a positive learning environment and helping students remain focused and engaged in the absence of their usual classroom teacher.
The flexibility of supply work means you can explore different schools and working environments while building valuable experience within secondary education.
Your Responsibilities
- Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and ensuring students remain engaged with their work.
- Maintaining a positive, safe and productive classroom environment.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and expectations.
- Supporting students with their learning and encouraging positive participation.
- Liaising with teaching staff and school leaders where appropriate.
