Tradewind Recruitment is seeking adaptable and motivated individuals to work as Classroom Supervisors, Supply Teachers, and Cover Supervisors across a variety of Secondary Schools in West Cumbria. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver pre-planned lessons and gain invaluable experience in a classroom setting without the pressures of planning and marking.
Location and Details
- Location: Whitehaven, Workington, and Allerdale
- Pay: 90 - 130 per day (depending on experience)
- Contract Type: Part-time, Day-to-Day, and Long-term opportunities available
- Working Hours: Monday - Friday (Term Time Only)
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Management: Confidently manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment for all students.
- Lesson Delivery: Follow and deliver pre-set lesson plans across various subjects, ensuring students stay on task and complete their work.
- Student Engagement: Actively support students with their learning, answering questions and providing guidance where needed.
- Policy Adherence: Uphold school policies regarding safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety.
Requirements
- A University Degree OR a recognized Teaching Qualification.
- Alternatively, proven experience working within a classroom or school-based environment.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
- A resilient, "can-do" attitude and a passion for supporting young people.
Transferable Skills
- Strong Communication: The ability to explain tasks clearly to groups of teenagers.
- Leadership: Experience in coaching, mentoring, or managing people.
- Adaptability: The ability to think on your feet and handle changing schedules.
